Monaco, ideally located on the edge of the Mediterranean, adjoining the Alpes Martimes department, PACA region.
Second smallest state in the world in area after the Vatican.
Its population is 37,308 inhabitants in 2016.
The neighboring municipalities of Monaco are: Beausoleil, Roquebrune Cap Martin, Cap d´ail and la Turbie. Menton is also very close to Monaco.

Transport


Monaco is served by the A500 motorway.
The urban transport network of the agglomeration is made up of bus lines.
The rail network links Monaco to the following cities, among others: Paris, Nice, Marseille, Turin, Rome, Milan or Moscow.
The city also has its heliport, and is also located 20km from Nice International Airport.
