Chartres, prefecture of the department of Eure-et-Loir (28) and located 90 km from Paris, has 38,578 in municipal population and in urban area a population of 146,986 inhabitants. Its neighboring municipalities
are: Lèves, Champhol, Gasville-Oisème, Nogent-Le-Phaye, Gellainville, Le Coudray, Lisant, Mainvilliers and Lucé.
